The Sameys
First we have 12 tiles I have creatively dubbed "Sameys" because they are close to being the same. They are in order of descending similarity. These are all 6x6 and Dutch, of an even thinness, machine-made & either new or relatively modern. Possible application: the border beneath the chair rail (interspersed with white blanks). A further miscellaneous set of 8 tiles that do not match at all, being wildly different colors, patterns, ages, nationalities and thicknesses. The only thing they have in common is their size, which is also 6". My favorite is the Wedgwood boy with the sailboat. Though the one with the unicorns is second, mostly because the eBay auction title said "UNICORNS!" with such hilarious enthusiasm. Possible application: My plan was to scatter these above the tub in the shower area. Provenance: eBay

The Fake Series
Two of these appear to be from the same series. The other one isn't but you can make the skyline match up by putting it slightly out of alignment with the other tiles. Note: I had lined it up better but my knees on the bed pulled it down. Radek would NOT like it if I did that, it would be an enormous pain in the ass and probably look horrible to boot. Then you can try putting #7 of the Differentys above to the right, but that really doesn't go. Damn it! They look so similar. Possible application: as a 2-tile panel on the outside of the tub. These are the cute little 5x5 tiles from various locations. All but the last are the same thickness, despite being a mix of antiques and new. Most of them are definitely sort of similar. Possible application: Scatter on front of tub. Provenance: 1-3 eBay, 4-5 Nelis Dutch Village, 6 Happy
